Engagement Overview

High confidence

Daanaa Resolution PDP Documentation Automation Engagement

Atomic47 x Daanaa Resolution Inc.

This engagement explores how structured documentation automation can transform Daanaa Resolution's Product Development Process (PDP). Daanaa is a fabless power electronics and semiconductor company based in Vancouver, BC, with 100+ engineers building bi-directional DC/AC omni-converters with a 125x+ hyper-conversion ratio.

The Problem

Engineering documentation is a productivity tax. At Daanaa, like most hardware engineering organizations, documentation is treated as a necessary evil โ€” something that drags on productivity rather than accelerating it. Yet documentation is also the backbone of ISO compliance, gate reviews, and knowledge transfer.

The cost compounds with scale. At 100+ engineers across multiple concurrent projects (Mercedes, BorgWarner, CTC, Heliene, Midwest, GAF), every hour spent on manual documentation, status consolidation, and gate-review assembly is an hour not spent on engineering.

The Hypothesis

Capturing engineering reasoning and decisions passively โ€” projecting them into existing artifacts like gate-review packs, timesheets, and status reports โ€” can reclaim meaningful time per engineer per day, automate timesheet generation, and give team leads a live cockpit they don't have to manually assemble.

A secondary hypothesis: ISO audit surface reduces because traceability becomes automatic and IP classification metadata travels on every record.

The Approach

The engagement follows a five-phase spine with decision gates at each transition:

  1. Discovery & Diagnosis (Weeks 0-2) โ€” Understand the organization, constraints, and opportunity
  2. Pilot Design (Weeks 2-4) โ€” Define a focused pilot with measurable success criteria
  3. Pilot Execution (Weeks 4-12) โ€” Build and deploy the substrate on a real project
  4. Measure & Validate (Weeks 12-18) โ€” Prove value against KPI targets
  5. Decide & Scale (Weeks 18+) โ€” Expand to additional teams and programs

Each phase produces an intelligence layer that informs the next decision gate.

Key Parties

  • Atomic47 (Lead) โ€” Karen Olsson, Engagement Lead
  • Daanaa Resolution Inc. (Counterpart) โ€” Udi Daon, CEO

Current Status

The engagement is in Phase 1: Discovery & Diagnosis, pre-discovery substatus. The first action is sending the pre-meeting questionnaire to Udi and scheduling the initial meeting.
